About Jared

The Work
Jared designs, creates, and manages websites for work and pleasure.  His sites range from complex database driven ColdFusion and PHP sites to CMS-powered blogs, business ventures, vanity, and non-profit sites.  Additionally, Jared’s a natural when it comes to handling social media presence and strategizing online campaigns.  He uses the best technology to creatively innovate new solutions to old problems.  He focuses on efficiency, creativity, and fun.

The History
Jared has worked for a major political strategy and communications firm, dealing with multiple high-profile clients to effectively distribute their message and help win elections.  He also spent time in the communications department of a leading trade association and at a national PR firm.  Currently, he works as a communications coordinator at The George Washington University in addition to several part-time ventures.

The Hustle
In addition to web work, Jared’s been known to freelance as a professional photographer with experience in individual and family portraits, as well as wedding and corporate events.  His Photoshopping skills come in handy for photo re-touching, restoration, and even graphic design.  He runs several blogs, including the Foggy Bottom Blog (FoBoBlo) and owns an online dorm rating site for college students (DormScores).

The Schooling
Jared graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs in 2008 with special honors in the degree of Political Communication and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He also minored in Photography and Political Science.  He’ll receive his Master’s of Public Policy from the Trachtenburg School of The George Washington University in Spring 2012.
